Finished up this morning with adding Lee South's matches to the database and the document on Common Ancestors by line--South, Vestal, Wright, or Rosenbalm. This means that the document now represents all current matches as of today for me, my brother Bob, Michael Wilson-South, Elaine Lee, and Lee South. ggf = great grandfather

Rosenbalm Line
There appear to be fewer matches, but
that’s because the CE South tree needs updating with folks from the far
reaches; therefore there can be no matches for some of these people from Elaine
Lee or Lee South who are connected to the CE South tree.
Michael Faber & Sarah Meinhert 7xggf Rosenbalm 1 match

If the matches seem uneven, this probably has to do with differences in trees. For more trees than one would think, the common ancestor is the only point of congruence between the two trees Ancestry's computers analyzed. After all, if our trees matched up completely we would be close cousins!
I was quite surprised that the two matches to Lee South who have Hannah Fuller, a direct connection to the Fullers who were on the Mayflower, did not even have her parents or grandparents on their trees. When I have time, and every time I am "stuck" on something in the tree, I go straight to the DNA matches who had that sticky person as a common ancestor and look at their trees. I strike gold sometimes, with trees that have some sources I have not yet found or leads I can follow, and then sometimes their trees are not helpful at all.
Hope you are all registered to vote. Time ends in a few days to get registered. I know we all won't vote the same way, but I always figure that if I don't vote, I have no right to complain about the government.
